Getting Ready

I will be teaching at Jimei University, just outside Xiamen, China. It has been an interesting few Days. I only got the offer on Thursday, July 26. Classes start on September 17 and end January 18. I will be flying out in early September.

I have three business courses: Operations, Purchasing and Warehousing. I have two sections of each course, and teach each of the six classes for three hours a week. All together, I have about 140 students.

I have a lot to do to get a work visa. Complete physical, including STD and HIV tests, X-rays, and vaccines. Some of the vaccines require three shots over a four weeks period to administer. Including the dentist (my choice), I have had six appointments with seven more to go. And I have white coat syndrome.
